Hello, and welcome to Journey by Design, LLC. My aim is to help design trips unique to your interests. To do this effectively, I believe you need to develop trusting work relationships, and this can only be done over time and through effort. My goal is to have a handful of very good, but well-matched clients. High volume is not my niche.
So why in the world am I in the travel business when you can go out to the web and do it yourself? Well, because you:
- Hate digging through piles of data;
- Are OK with digging through piles of data, but are worried you will make the wrong choice or just do not have time;
- Have a complex or exotic trip you want to plan and either don’t know where to start or are not interested in putting in all of the time necessary to piece it together yourself;
- Want an expert who can quickly understand what is important to you and design a unique experience;
- Feel it is important to have someone who can help you with problems while you are on vacation; or
- Just want to make sure you get the most bang for your buck. Now, I should say this is not all about the absolute $$ spent. It is also about the less obvious value you get, such as superb service at a hotel, an experience honed for you, or the comfort you will have a vacation which is filled with memories and not nightmares.
So why come to me? My background as a CPA over the last 20+ years has given me the experiences necessary to be successful in the travel business – ability to build strong relationships; excellent negotiating skills; high ethical standards; attention to detail; and confidence in making good choices. Combine that with my extensive personal and business travels, and I think you have a winning formula!
